Who we are

Helvetia Guide is operated from Switzerland. We publish editorial guidance and calculators on Swiss personal finance, tax, mortgages, and relocation. We are not regulated financial advisors and do not provide individual financial, legal, or tax advice.

What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides and calculators readers find useful. GA4 sets a cookie containing a pseudonymous identifier and records anonymized page-view counts, referrer source, approximate location (country/region), and device type. IP addresses are anonymized before storage. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers unless you contact us directly.

We do not run advertising on this site. We do not use Google AdSense or any third-party ad network.

To opt out of analytics, you can use a browser-level GA opt-out (such as Google's GA opt-out browser add-on), block third-party cookies for googletagmanager.com, or enable your browser's built-in tracking-protection feature (for example, the strict mode in Firefox or the equivalent in Brave). Note that GA4 does not honor the legacy “Do Not Track” header, so toggling that setting alone has no effect on this site.

Legal basis

This site is operated from Switzerland and aims to comply with the Swiss revised Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP, in force since September 2023) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are an EU/EEA resident and prefer not to be measured, please use the browser opt-outs noted above.

Affiliate disclosures

Some outbound links to mortgage brokers, Pillar 3a providers, banks, and other services are affiliate or referral links. If you sign up through one of these, we may receive a referral fee at no additional cost to you. This does not influence our editorial judgment — we disclose the commercial relationship at the point of recommendation.

Third-party services

• Vercel — site hosting. Vercel may log standard request metadata for security and abuse prevention.
• Cloudflare / Dynadot — DNS and domain registration.
• Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry) — web fonts served via CDN.
