About
About Helvetia Guide
Helvetia Guide is an editorial publication for people considering Switzerland — for relocation, tax residency, capital protection, or career — and for people already here who want a clearer picture of how the Swiss financial and regulatory system actually works.
The work is opinionated and source-anchored. Every factual claim links to a primary source: FINMA, ESTV, BAG/Priminfo, HMRC, GOV.UK, SNB, cantonal tax authorities, KPMG's Clarity series, and similar. Calculators use 2026 federal brackets and current rates for all 26 cantons, audited against canonical references. When source data updates, calculators update with it.
The editorial voice is grown-up. Switzerland is not a tax-haven sales pitch — it's a different operating system, with real costs alongside real benefits. The aim is to give readers a basis for a serious decision, not to talk them into one.
Editorial methodology
- Every page is reviewed by a human before it ships. No scaled AI content.
- Every factual claim has a primary-source link.
- Numbers come from a single source of truth and update centrally.
- Affiliate relationships are disclosed. Editorial recommendations are independent of commercial considerations.
